Hi there!  My name is Ginger.  I am an four year old female lab.  I am a 100 pounds of gold beauty.  I was returned to the rescue after my adoptive family said they did not want me anymore.  I am really not sure what I did wrong.  So, I gladly came back to the rescue to find a new family to be a part of.

I just love life and everyone in it.  I don’t have a mean bone in this body.  I love other dogs, kids and cats too.  Although I don’t always realize my size I love to run and play.  I think the ball is fun to play with and sometimes I bring it back and other times I get distracted because there is so much to see.  I like to stay by my person.  Ok, so every so often I do just cut loose and run around in the fenced yard for a few minutes like a wild woman.  Then I am right back by you.  I am very smart and appear to be housetrained. Because of my size the rescue checked my thyroid, but it is just fine.  It's me who just loves food!  I started a new food that has less fat and calories and I think it's great so we will have to make sure we watch my weight, Ok?

 I have been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.  I did have a bad reaction to some topical flea product put on my back so you will have to give me just oral preventatives.  I am current on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  My adoption fee is 300.00.  The first step in the process to adopt me, Ginger, is to complete an application at dogsasfamily.org.
