Hello. My name is Delilah. I am about a year old and I weigh a little over eleven pounds. I came to the rescue after my mom said she wanted to travel more and I couldn’t go with. It’s fine with me. I would rather be in a home with a family than be in boarding waiting for her a lot of the time. So, maybe you could be my new family…
The designer name they give me is a “Dorkie”. It sounds awful but it means I am a mix between a dachshund and a yorkie. I have a wonderful soft coat and I do not shed so I will need to be groomed regularly. I don’t mind being brushed or groomed. I like most people but I am honestly uncomfortable around small children so it is best for the kids to be at least school age. I am house trained, give kisses and am happy to see you. I like to follow you around but will sleep in a crate if you ask me to. Toys are ok but not all that interesting to me. Other dogs are fine and I have no problem telling another dog to leave me alone when I want to. I consider myself a happy, loving little girl.
I have been spay, vaccinated and micro chipped. My adoption fee is 175.00. The first step in the process is to complete an adoption application at dogsasfamily.org for Delilah. My tail is just wagging thinking about our life together.
